This was my senior thesis film at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. I graduated in 1999 with a degree in Cinema and Photography. I'm proud to say that this, unlike many student films, is not about suicide. The story follows Nathan, a young man from the country now living in the city, as he returns home to visit his parents and confront what was, for him, a traumatic childhood event.

This film was done for an optical printing independent study with one of my professors, Mike Covell, in Carbondale around the fall of 1998. I was lucky enough to have Charles Swedlund as a professor for a photography class the semester prior and he shared with the class some of his own film work. The film, called Flowing Waters if I recall correctly, was done in the tricolor technique. His film inspired me to take this technique a step further.

This is a film for which Eric Matthew was the cinematographer. Shot in 2005, the film follows the story of an Indian man who's mother is sick in India and he must decide weather to return to be with her or to stay in the U.S. This is the first film that I was the Director of Photography on since 1999 and it was a great experience to get back into what I love to do. Since shooting this film I have shot several other projects, including Russian Roulette. An excerpt of that film will be posted on this site when it is completed.

This is an embarrassment. Then again there aren't very many films made in the 48 hour film festival that aren't an embarrassment. After doing the 48 hour film festival I've decided that it is nearly pointless to attempt to make a film that won't suck in 48 hours. If you're not familiar with it, in the 48 Hour Film Festival teams have just 2 days to write, produce, shoot, and edit a film from beginning to end. You don't know the genre (we drew sci-fi) you'll be working in nor do you know what character's you'll have to use until a few minutes before the clock starts.
There are also some script elements that you are required to use. But anyway, I jumped onto a team a couple years and they came up with a really overzealous project that was to high on concept to be fully explored in the short time period alloted for the film. But there are some good shots in it, some good lighting, and there are some funny parts. So check it out.

Shot by Eric Matthew, this little fast and cheap video was used as an audition piece for a local Kung-Fu guy who was trying to get onto a Kung Fu Reality show. It is kind of funny but really has no value beyond that.

On December 3rd, 2005 a bunch of people came to a place called The Ground Floor (which happens to be on the first floor of a two story building). They came to see clothes and bands and stuff and drink lots of booze. Then from outer space came a robot fashion invasion that laid waste to the whole town of Belleville. The testament of the survivors is now avialiable on DVD from The Ground Floor or by sending an e-mail to us from the contact form. The Price is $7 (there is a $2 discount if you were a designer or model or helped out in some other way. Shipping is $2 if you are out of town.
The disc includes “A Robot Fashion Invasion” featurette, event films that were shown around the venue and on the big screen, and 30 minutes of raw footage. A sample of the featurette is avialable on this site.
